Our Phoenix childcare & preschool programs are open and continuing to support families during the COVID-19 pandemic.
At Valley Child Care & Learning Center, we understand that parenting during the COVID-19 pandemic looks different than anything any of us have experienced before. Together, we are navigating something that is new, with many unknowns, and ultimately affecting our families in large ways. Within our Phoenix childcare programs, we are supporting families by offering flexible and affordable scheduling options that align with the fluctuating needs of families. Our programs are open Monday – Friday from 6:00 am – 6:00 pm with tuition options that include only paying for days your child actually attends.
For those on the frontlines working to keep our communities safe during this difficult time – we are now also a certified early enrichment center.

Parents in Phoenix are searching for ways to keep learning going at home with toddlers and preschoolers while in self-quarantine. Because many parents are also working remotely, there is also a high need for resources, things to do and ways to keep children safely busy.
Fortunately, we live in an age of technology and have incredible resources available to us within the click of a button. We’ve compiled a few of our favorites and separated them into categories for you to choose which ones best fit your unique child. Our hope is that this list can become a “go-to” resource as you navigate this extraordinary time.
Favorite resources for supporting your preschooler’s learning during quarantine –
While locations are physically closed, Phoenix Public Library is offering a variety of wonderful resources via their website including bilingual educational videos, storytimes, activities, nursery rhymes and recommended reading lists. All accessible for free with a library card!
For animated, inviting and exciting literature brought life before your child’s eyes you’ll want to look no farther than Vooks. Our favorite thing about Vooks is that they have titles for all ages, some your child may already recognize as a favorite and some that will be new to them. Vooks is an excellent tool for keeping young children entertained while strengthening their vocabulary, and encouraging a natural love of literacy.
As a parent, you already know that there is no shortage of apps and games that claim to be the best choice for your child’s learning and development. We prefer the proven, top rated learning product Homer, designed for children ages 2 – 8. When setting up an account in Homer, you will be able to personalize the account to your child’s unique developmental stage and watch as you’ll quickly see progress as they recognize letters, letter sounds, phonics and begin reading. They’re offering special discounts to families and teachers during this difficult time – make sure to check them out!
Valley Child Care & Learning Center is proud to have served Arizona families with high-quality childcare and preschool programs since 1967.

When signing up for a subscription you have unlimited access to all of their classes at any time, any day! Classes are dynamic and age appropriate for young children – what a fun way to work off some of that extra energy!
Practicing yoga is shown to increase confidence in children while introducing them to mindful thinking and new ways to stretch their body. Cosmic Kids Yoga makes learning yoga a blast with engaging videos and a charming, silly instructor. You can find these videos on Youtube or for a safer option, access them right on their website!
Finding new ways to motivate children and inspire them to try something new can be challenging, especially when we’re all spending so much time at home! Go Noodle provides engaging games, activities, dance parties, yoga exercises, mindfulness activities and more to families and children looking to move and get some exercise. What’s even better is that all content is created by child development experts, professionals and athletes so you can feel comfortable with the content your child will be viewing.
We’re all in this together.
